Degas Appoints Leonie Adomako as Chief Operating Officer

Degas, a technology company that combines AI with on-the-ground operations to increase incomes of smallholder farmers in Africa and beyond, is pleased to announce the appointment of Leonie Fanny Adomako as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Leonie brings nearly two decades of expertise in operations, retail, and supply chain management, with a proven track record of scaling businesses and driving customer-focused growth. She joins Degas from M-Kopa Ghana, where she spearheaded retail expansion across all 16 regions, managed over 130 staff members, and oversaw inventory valued at more than USD 5 million per month. Previously, she held senior leadership roles at Vodafone Ghana, Ringier (Tisu.com.gh), and Millicom (Tigo).

In her new role, Leonie will lead the Farmer Financing business at Degas, overseeing commercial, operational, and field execution teams. She will be responsible for driving long-term strategy, scaling operations, strengthening Degas’s supply chain, and embedding a high-performance culture.

Leonie holds an MSc in Supply Chain Management from Coventry University (UK) and a BA in Fine Arts from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana).
